It's true, Steve, they are charging $50 for domain names now. In part, it's
because of the federal funding that's being lost that had helped pay for
operations. From what I've read, it's also intended to discourge people
from registering numerous domain names, in the hopes that a company will
want to use one of the names one day and that they can make a bundle
selling the name to them.
