Thank you to Bart Preecs and Allen Marshall for escalating our
efforts to faxing and mailing. We can do all these if we have
enough volunteers and we coordinate ourselves.

To start, we need one to three volunteers who will receive, by email,
from the rest of us:

1. email addresses
2. fax numbers
3. snail mail addresses

of appropriate recipients. If you can receive any or all of these and
collect them into a list for us, please volunteer directly to the list
so that we all know what's happening and we can start our collection.

To do faxes, either we'll need money or we need to find a volunteer in
each area code to send the faxes for free. That coordination will
take some effort.

Snail mail costs money and there's no way around it. Does anyone
volunteer some paper, ink, stamps and layout work?

Bart, if we do faxes, for how many days must someone be by the phone?
Is it enough to be there during office hours? If we do snail mail,
how will that affect the phone schedule?

Maybe Richard and Chuck Simpson could work out a phone-duty schedule.
I agree, we're pretty much out of business on this if we don't have a
phone rep.

If someone is writing a draft of our press release, consider using
Chuck Simpson's post in there. Also, Richard mentioned very
explicitly that we *don't* want to be charged a minimum for a call.
That could put poor emailers out of business. Maybe the press release
should make that clear.

I think the participation here is dynamite!

Our enemy is so close and our direction is so clear, consensus will
flow through us as fast as we let it.

Gosh Andy, unless your post is intended to be an objection, and I
don't read it that way, I think we *do* have consensus. I think you
are calling for more discussion. Good idea.

If someone comes up with a valid objection to this scheme, I'll lay
odds that we'll come to consensus on some other scheme.

Otherwise before we can *do* anything as a large group, we have to
wait for CPSR to install eVote and, even then, our decisions won't
have the awe carried by consensus.

If we do lose our consensus on this highly complex techno-politico-
economical issue, perhaps we have it on Joe Shea's call to liberty.
Maybe it's time for a new declaration of independence from the
governments. It might get good press and good participation from rock
stars, etc.

Maybe the hard part won't be coming to consensus on an issue, but
on deciding which issue to put forward first.
