Key escrow to rule them all; key escrow to find them.
Key escrow to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
In the land of surveillance where Big Brother lies.

The policeman arrives at a house in the countryside in response to a complaint
about public nudity. He sees nothing out of the ordinary, just one house off
in the distance. Entering the house, he questions the owner, Mrs. Jones,
about the complaint. "It's that filthy Mr. Smith, my neighbor. He's
sunbathing in the nude." "And where is Mr. Smith?" "Come out here, I'll show
you." Mrs. Jones leads the officer out onto her porch. "Over there, see him
in the yard?" she says, pointing to the house on the distant ridge. "Well,
no, Mrs. Jones, I can barely see his house this far away." "Well, that's
because you're not using this, silly!" she says, pointing at her telescope.

How do we help the public understand enough to laugh at the new "Mrs. Jones"
of this world? Could the regulators become the butt of Jay Leno's jokes?

Subject: Re: CR Library Update (1/24/96)

Hey all you cyber-citizens, this is a general call for information
assistance. Can anyone tell me EXACTLY the equipment, (ie. CPU type/speed,
Memory req's, phone connections, etc) and maybe suggest some software, that
would allow me to set up and run my own personal ISP? (I want a biggie too,
everything AOL has except the customized interface). I may have a sponcer
that is willing to put up a goodly amount of $$$ to set one up. Please reply
to my personal address, •••@••.••• as opposed to the CR list. Thanks
Folks!

R. Smith
